Olivier Schotel is a corporate and commercial litigator at De Roos Advocaten. He advises and litigates on corporate law issues, including shareholder disputes, post-M&A disputes, and D&O liability. Also, he has broad experience conducting complex, cross-border commercial disputes, in arbitration as well as before all levels of Dutch courts, coordinating multi-jurisdictional enforcement actions, and acting as counsel in securities, consumer law, competition law, and public interest class actions. In addition, he advises on corporate governance and ESG.
In 2021, Olivier joined De Roos Advocaten. Previously, he was a senior associate in the Corporate Litigation department of Stibbe in Amsterdam.
Olivier has a warm interest in corporate law and private international law. He regularly pubishes and teaches on these topics. Moreover, he is a member of the editorial board of the Maandblad voor Ondernemingsrecht, a Dutch academic journal specialised in corporate law which appears monthly.
